Easy news in Hungarian at different levels

What can I find here and how is it going to help me?

On this site you can find easy news in Hungarian at different levels and in different categories. We recommend that you don't only read news that normally interest you (like politics etc) but you should also read news that normally doesn't "fit" your range of interest because that's a great way to increase your vocabulary. At all levels you will find a vocabulary list with English (sometimes also with German) translations. With some news and reports you also get reading comprehension exercises, like questions etc. with keys. (To be able to see the key you need to register, though).

How should I read the news?

The way we recommend you to read the news: Start with the level that you think is closest to your level. So, if you think your level is pre-intermediate, don't read the beginner level first because that could be too simple and then it gives you too much help to understand your actual level. Read your level first and if you find that it's too difficult for you and there are too many unknown words, simply go back one level and read that too. You will see that with most texts we gave the most help with the Beginner level. There you will find most translated words etc. At higher levels, we assume that you already know these words and therefore we didn't repeat them in the vocabulary. So, if you want to learn as many new words as possible, it's also a good strategy to read all levels but don't forget: Start with your level!!! 

By using this method and reading as much as possible, you will improve your reading comprehension skills and vocabulary and soon you will be able to read "normal" news in Hungarian on the Internet too! Just don't give up! 🙂
